After a very restful and rather long sleep (almost 12 hours) we ventured off down the highway (day two on the left side of the road is less nervy than day one) on our way to see some caves. In the end we only visited King Solomon’s Cave. Very intriguing and spectacular limestone caves with a great guide. Just the perfect amount of time and information!
The towns along the way are quaint. Deloraine looks a likely place to locate some groceries so we make decisions on lunch and supper for today and get that accomplished along with a pleasant walk about town. The Meander River has a nice park developed along the banks in the town so that is where we make and eat a late lunch. The tomatoes really do taste like tomatoes should, very yummy. The groceries seem a bit on the expensive side, but it is likely that the Australian dollar is down a bit from ours.
By late afternoon we are back at The Stables and have a nice sit in the garden in the warm sun. Lawrie does his sitting up snooze thing while I knit! What a pleasant way to spend the rest of the afternoon.
