The next day sees us trundling off to Saskatoon. We are arriving unexpectedly early so this is fun for us. There isn’t much to say about the landscape from Riding Mountain to Saskatoon other than it is wide open spaces. The grain harvest seems to be in trouble. There are many fields of standing grain which by now should have been swathed. It does appear that many farmers will have something to complain about this year! We arrive at Mom and Dad Stewart’s mid-afternoon but no one is home. The next stop is the shop where Oscar and Oreo do the surprising. Mark and Dad almost have heart failures but in fact survive our unexpected appearance. We are thinking to stay here for an extended period of time before continuing our journey home. This blog is likely to get neglected while we shop with Mom, play Boggle with Dad, go to the lake with the sibs, practice piano with Kimmer, and try to keep Oscar and Oreo from becoming completely and totally spoiled rotten. We are now able to check email every day, so do say hello if you have the time and inclination.
