After a considerable amount of discussion we say goodbye to St. Andrews. Besides this place is dangerous with scallops just $8.95 a pound and lobster on sale $6.95 a pound, the place could have serious consequences for your physique. How far did we go today? Oh about forty-five kilometers before stopping at New River Provincial campground.
What a beautiful little place. The dogs have been so good while we were in St. Andrews that we take advantage of the short day and beach comb around a beautiful little cove. The pups run and run and run and then run some more. Unfortunately right through all the seaweed and such. Phew do they smell like the ocean when we get them back to our campsite. Did I mention how beautiful it is here. Later that night we take a five kilometer hike to Barnaby’s Head (no, not his washroom) but a point of land projecting into the Bay of Fundy. Truly a wonderful hike. There are about five little coves with all the vistas anyone could ask for. It also helps that the fog keeps rolling in and out. I just wish we knew more about photography so as to capture everything we see before us. Oh well these will just have to do.
Needless to say at the end of the day, the pups are pooped, a mess and pooped.
I’m blown away by some of the gorgeous shots you’ve taken here mom. I guess it always is nice to have great scenery! Keep it up…I hear Newfoundland is AMAZINGLY BEAUTIFUL!
