This morning, having spent quite a bit of time last night getting a couple entries for the blog done, zipped out of bed, packed up, left the campground, gassed up the truck, topped up the air in a couple tires, and then drove into the Toyota parking lot where we had located a wireless connection the previous day. Turned on the laptop, connected to the internet and transferred the photos to the web site. Next we transferred and checked that the map update worked and it did, so then I started the blog information, got the first one done (actually it was entry two of two, sometimes I like to do things backwards) and that appeared to be successful so I proceeded with entry one of two and hit the submit button … and waited, and waited, and rehit the submit, and waited … hmmm … maybe I can’t have two July 9 entries? Okay, so change the date … no response still … open a new window and try a google search … nothing. What? In the meantime Lawrie has gone to give Oscar and Oreo a run and he has returned to a very dismayed blog updater … I decided to close everything down and restart the computer, not usually a solution for an iBook, but one never knows what the solution is going to be when it comes to computers. In the end, we decided that either the computer network we were connected to had become unconnected to the Internet or even a level up had become disconnected. Who knows anything except we didn’t reestablish a connection and decided that driving down the highway would be a more useful and entertaining way to spend time. So we started the day with a little stutter, but in the end we thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and the day. Forillon National Park is our destination for tonight. Along the way we see the Cap Chat wind turbine farm, go through the eastern Canada hang-gliding capital of Mont-Saint-Pierre, and see several lighthouses. We have checked in to Forillon National Park for two days expecting to enjoy the area a little up-closer! Our evening walk to the beach yields a glimpse of whales in the bay and nice chat with a couple from Montreal.
